Emergency Movie is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language movie based on biographical historical drama. It was directed and produced by Kangana Ranaut from a screenplay by Ritesh Shah. We will see Kangana as the Prime minister of India ( INDIRA GANDHI ).
The other starring actors will include Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, and Milind Soman in pivotal roles.

One of my most ambitious projects after directing Manikarnika is Emergency.
It will be the darkest chapter in our history that young India needs to know. The film was
going to be released in theatres on November 24, 2023, but due to some changes in her schedule, it was postponed.
A day after attending the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha event in Ayodhya, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut on January 23 revealed the release date of her forthcoming film ‘Emergency’. Now it will be released on 14 June 2024.

It is a three-part documentary series film that centers on the years 1975–1977, following India’s independence, at which time Prime Minister Indira Gandhi proclaimed a state of emergency across the country. In addition, it tells the gripping and tragic tale of Mrs. Indira Gandhi, the first female prime minister of India and one of the most well-liked politicians in history.

Controversies
According to the news, the Madhya Pradesh vice president had stated that Kangana had taken the role as to so blemish the image of Indira Gandhi at the behest of the ruling party. Sangeeta Sharma had reported to watch the movie before releasing in the theaters.
Recently Kangana shared some BTS videos of the shoot. Kangana Ranaut confirmed that ‘Emergency’ is a political play, not a biopic of Indira Gandhi.
