Ae Watan Mere Watan is a forthcoming Hindi-language historical biographical drama film based on the life of Usha Mehta of India’s struggle for freedom in 1942. During the Quit India movement, a courageous young girl launches an underground radio station to promote unity and sparks an exciting pursuit with the British authorities.
Dharmatic Entertainment made the movie, produced by Karan Johar Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra. The premiere date was already revealed on Feb. 13 on World Radio Day. Sara Ali Khan had played the lead role of Usha in the film. It is an honor that the film’s premiere coincides with the spirit of World Radio Day, recognizing the medium’s ability to shape historical narratives and forge deep emotional connections with viewers.

Emraan Hashmi to play Ram Manohar Lohia
The actor also posted on Instagram Stories and shared a picture of Ram Manohar Lohia, confirming that he is playing the role of the latter in Ae Watan Mere Watan film. Ram Manohar Lohia is most known for his work with Congress Radio, which was broadcast clandestinely from several locations in Bombay till the early 1940s.

Plot:
Ae Watan Mere Watan, similar to a period biographical drama, depicts the life of a little girl who made vital contributions to the war for Indian freedom. She took the stand for all Indians who were victimized by the British and who were persistently disparaged. The main plot of this film is what will happen when the British will capture her.
