Ishita Kishore’s mother taught at a private school, her brother practices law, and her father served as an Indian Air Force officer. When she went for the UPSC exams, she was employed by Ernst and Young.
Originally from Begumpet in Hyderabad, Telangana, she lived most of her early years in Bihar before relocating to Delhi. She competed at the national level of football in the past and played in the Subroto Cup in 2012, one of her favorite sports.

Of her two siblings, she is the youngest. Ishita Kishore had previously played football at the national level and took part in the Subroto Cup in 2012. She graduated with honors in Economics from Delhi University’s Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC). She is from Uttar Pradesh, and by choosing PSIR as her option, she passed the UPSC exam.
Throughout high school and college, she participated in a wide range of extracurricular activities.
